Day 5: Today was a decidedly slow day. I wasn’t too keen to go out and ride tonight, but I did anyway. And I’m glad I did. The clouds were out of control! There were big fat rain clouds dotting the sky, but not covering it, allowing the setting sun to come through. It was pretty amazing to look at. I was listening to a podcast, but about halfway through, I took my earbud out and just listened to nature. The birds were out and I can tell nature is also ready to bust out of the winter stranglehold! Except for when I did my hills (which I dutifully rode like a good girl!), I’m pretty sure my heart rate wasn’t elevated for the entire ride. I guess tonight was a “stop and smell the roses” type of ride.
